I grew up in Hastings, NE and have always wanted to be a vet. I went to Kenesaw High School, about 15 minutes west of Hastings, where I met my husband, Nick. We have been together since my freshman year of high school. I grew up with horses and showed them in local open shows and 4-H. I also showed my dog, Zoe, at the county fair every year (6-time Grand Champ, whoop whoop!). I have had a variety of animal-related jobs, including working at the local animal shelter and at US-MARC in Clay Center during college.
I went to UNL for my bachelor’s degree in veterinary science and worked as a veterinary assistant at a local Lincoln clinic during that time. I attended the UNL-ISU Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine for my DVM, and worked at a local emergency hospital since graduating. I have a passion for urgent care and treating sick patients and I really love being able to work closely with my clients. In my spare time, I like to work out, spend time outdoors, cook, and travel as much as possible.
